We took the girls to New Braunfels (GOD'S COUNTRY as Steven calls it) for the weekend. We love to go there and the girls love it just as much as we do. Steven and I would move there in a heartbeat, buy some land and run a toob business on the river. I know, how trashy... but seriously- no cares, no worries, and the girls would be raised in the small town atmosphere.
One of our favorite Texas country groups Emory Quinn was playing at Gruene Hall on Valentines Day so we decided to head on down there. We say our favorite- as in, all of our favorite because the girls LOVE Emory Quinn. We saw them at Gruene last summer. There was no one at their show last year- so the girls got to dance to all of their songs and meet the lead singer. They were in heaven! They are Aggies so they instantly had my attention! Last year, the girls took a picture with their lead singer Clint and it turns out, they were on their website as being their youngest fans! We bought the CD, the shirts, etc... and have faithfully followed them ever since.
This year, we were so happy to see that not only did you have to pay a cover to see them, but there was a line wrapped around Gruene Hall before the event. We waited in line, the girls all dressed up in their cute little valentines presents (see pics below).
When the band started to play, the girls went to the front of the stage and ended up making friends with the guitar player's girlfriend. She danced with them for the longest time, the girls singing every song they played! She was super sweet, and when she took a break, she came back with t-shirts from the guys... the girls were IN HEAVEN!
