Leslie's Dallas Shower

This past weekend, Leslie and I drove to Dallas for her shower. We left on Friday at lunchtime and came back late Saturday night.
Here are a few pics of the mommy to be (borrowed from my new blog friend Katie). Leslie is adorable prego as we all expected- she's so tiny! She is going to be a great mommy, she's been a teacher for the last 8 years and its just in her blood. She and I have been friends since elementary school. I'm excited that my best friend is finally having a baby!!! It will be nice to share our experiences with each other and our kids can grow up together.
On a side note- while at the shower- I saw some girls that I have met previously through Leslie and they are bloggers! We were so excited, we all exchanged blogs. Check them out-

I'm a bit late in postings... we had Emily's birthday a few weeks ago and here are some pics from the pool party! It was a mad house trying to watch 9 girls of all different ages all over the neighborhood pool. We also had a slumber party afterwards- we had a great time! Here are the pics.

Baby Ryan has arrived!!!

Ryan Reckers arrived today around 1pm... I cant wait to meet him! Congrats to Sarah and Rob on their precious bundle of joy. I know they are going to be amazing parents... Sarah was born to be a mommy, you can just see it when she interacts with any child. Kaylie adores her!

Good Friends, Good Times...

Last night, I went to dinner with a group of my high school girlfriends that I love dearly. It really does amaze me that our group of gals has stayed so close over the past 15 years or so! We have all gone through so many changes in our lives since we met in the hallways of Sugar Land Middle School, but we all get together and just laugh and laugh everytime! I had the best time last night.
To all my gals (even the ones that couldn't make it last night)- Leslie, Stacy, Melanie, Suzanne, Jenny, Katie, Ashley, Sarah Stockton, Maura, Sandra, Jill, Missi, Goza, Sarah Galley...
I love all of you and am truly blessed to call you gals my friends. I don't know what my life would be like without my girlfriends by my side.

Emily's Contribution...

Emily came to work with me last week to work a lemonade stand for Alex's Lemonade (Check out the website http://www.alexslemonade.org/) which is an organization started by a young girl who had cancer- she started this organization to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Emily and 2 other kids from Suez parents (Tai and Devin) helped raise over $2800 for this charity. They all did a wonderful job and loved every minute of it! Way to go Emily... we are so proud of you!

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there! I'm very thankful that I have such wonderful men in my life that are all wonderful fathers and grandfathers!

Steven- my hubby who has been such a wonderful dad to Kaylie and Emily. He loves his girls more than life itself and I couldn't have picked a better man to share my life with. Happy Fathers Day babe!

Dad- the man who I owe my life to. I will never be able to thank you enough for all that you gave up to protect and love me and Jimbo- you're my hero. I love you so much and I am so thankful that you are my dad. The girls love their Duck!

Larry- Stevens dad, and the girls Papaw... you are such a great father in law who is always there for us. I am so grateful to you for all that you do for us, we love you very much.

Jimbo and Rusty- my 2 brothers- who are both wonderful fathers as they are brothers. I love you both and am very proud of the papas that you are!

Sex in the City...

OMG!!! If you haven't already seen this movie, you absolutely have to see it! It was fantastic- I cried, I laughed, I cried, I laughed so hard I cried... great movie. And I got to see it with my best friend Les so it couldn't have been more perfect. It made me realize just how important all my girlfriends are- I'd be lost without them all. :) So GO SEE IT! I demand you to!

Steven's sister Amanda turns 19 today... she's been such a good aunt to the girls- they both just adore her! We hope she is having a wonderful day! I'm sure she's partying it up tonight!

Sweet Emily is turning 7...

It seems like just yesterday that I met my sweet Emily for the first time... she melted my heart from the instant that I met her. I truly am blessed to have such a sweet step daughter, although I really consider her like one of my own! :)
We are having a swim party and slumber party for her on Saturday, so I'll be sure and post pics from it after the party. Lets hope Steven survives with all the females around. He just needs to get used to it anyways!

Ok, I have to post a list of the top 5 things that annoy the CRAP out of me... because its just on my mind.

1) People who move to a suburb but must forget since they treat my street as if its the freaking southwest freeway. Don't move to the burbs if you like to speed!

2) People who belittle others because they themselves are unhappy in their own lives...

3) People who have children that SHOULD NOT be allowed to reproduce. I think you should have a license to have a child. SERIOUSLY!

4) People who take everything in life for granted... act like they are entitled to everything.

5) People who have more children but can't take care of the ones they have. That REALLY REALLY ticks me off.

Can you tell what kind of mood I'm in??? Sorry... I'm better now. ;)

My poor baby got attacked by mosquitos and swelled up. Check out what happened to her eye. I ended up taking her to the doctor, I was worried! She didn't look like herself at all!
